Full Spectrum CBD Oils
Full Spectrum CBD is derived from hemp. It contains all the cannabinoids naturally present in hemp, along with other elements, in particular terpenes, which are naturally abundant. It also contains vitamins, fatty acids, proteins and much more.
The compounds of hemp
There are more than 100 compounds known as cannabinoids in the hemp plant, and therefore in Full Spectrum CBD oil. The main cannabinoid is of course cannabidiol (CBD).
Other cannabinoids present include:
Cannabichromene (CBC)
Cannabidivarin (CBDV)
Cannabigerol (CBG), the precursor of the other cannabinoids in the plant
Cannabinol (CBN), which forms when THC breaks down
This combination of compounds is often referred to as the entourage effect.
The other compounds in Full Spectrum CBD oil
A Full Spectrum CBD oil also contains vitamins, fatty acids and proteins: vitamins A, C, E and B, up to 20 amino acids and fatty acids such as omega 3 and omega 6.
Does Full Spectrum CBD contain THC?
Yes, Full Spectrum CBD products contain a small amount of THC, within the legal limit of 0.3%.
How much THC do our Full Spectrum oils contain?
Our Full Spectrum CBD oils contain only a tiny amount of THC, 0.3% or less (see our article on CBD and THC). Stick to the number of drops stated on the label.
What is CBD isolate?
The opposite of Full Spectrum CBD is CBD isolate. It contains only CBD: the CBD molecule is chemically isolated from the rest of the plant. CBD isolates contain no identifiable amount of THC. Nor do they contain the other hemp compounds: the terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins and proteins mentioned above.
