CBN Oils (Cannabinol)

CBN, or cannabinol, is a cannabinoid found in the hemp plant. Our CBN oils generally combine CBN with CBD.

      What is cannabinol?

CBN forms after the hemp plant is harvested, as a breakdown product of THC. When THC is exposed to excessive amounts of heat and light (i.e. oxidation), it turns into a unique metabolite: CBN. Unlike THC, however, CBN has no psychoactive effects. CBN oil is a cannabinoid oil that is particularly rich in CBN. The molecule is extracted from the plant and then dissolved in a carrier oil.

CBN oil also generally contains a concentration of CBD, as well as other minor cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes. All these elements occur naturally in the plant. This combination of compounds is often referred to as the entourage effect.

      Composition of our CBN oils

CBN and CBD are both cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. Our oils combine CBN with CBD in a carrier oil. See also our selection of oils, gummies and infusions with CBN and melatonin.
