Where to buy CBD in Crete?

In Crete, you will find CBD shops in Heraklion, Chania and Rethymno. Please note: since May 2026, Greece has banned the sale of dried hemp flowers to consumers, and other products may only be sold by registered businesses.

Is CBD legal in Crete?

In Greece, industrial hemp (EU varieties, THC ≤ 0.3%) and CBD products such as oils and cosmetics used to be sold freely in shops, under Law 4139/2013. In May 2026, a new health law passed by Parliament completely banned the retail sale, distribution and supply to consumers of dried hemp flowers, whatever their THC content. It also removed cannabis-based products from kiosks, mini-markets and vending machines. Other hemp-derived products may only be sold by businesses registered with the Ministry of Health, and medical cannabis remains prescription-only. Before buying anything, it is best to check the current rules locally.
