Swiss FX CBD Oil for Horses, THC-free (10ml)

This Swiss FX Horse Oil is a high quality cold pressed oil. It contains 3000mg of CBD. So, by taking a few drops of this oil every day, your equine will feel more serene and soothed. Indeed, it is reported to help with ulcers, acidosis, colic and dysbiosis, and is particularly recommended for horses fed grain.

Put a few drops directly in your horse's mouth or add 1 to 4 drops of oil to his food in the morning and/or evening. The effectiveness is felt after approximately 10 to 20 minutes. Intended for regular use. Adjust the dose if necessary.

Using CBD for Horses

CBD oil for horses can be used preventatively or for chronic problems. CBD has different potential benefits. It can therefore meet different needs. Here are some examples:

Are there any studies on the effects of CBD on horses?

From a scientific perspective, few studies have examined the use of CBD oil in horses. You can find an overview of the bioavailability of CBD and cannabis products in horses in a recent study by American veterinarians Williams et al. (2022). This study found that horses tolerated high doses of CBD well.

The horses in the study were also given small amounts of THC and researchers found no negative effects. Basically, scientists conclude that a high dose of CBD is necessary for horses to experience therapeutic benefit.

Risks of Side Effects of Hemp and CBD in Horses

There are no known serious side effects of CBD. In some cases, severe fatigue, dizziness or diarrhea are reported. If this happens, you simply need to reduce the dose of CBD and the symptoms will disappear. Studies have repeatedly highlighted the good tolerance of CBD and this also applies to animals (see James, Thomas, Porr, 2019).

The World Health Organization considers CBD to be harmless to humans. Since the nervous systems of horses and humans are structured similarly, CBD can be expected to have a similar effect. No studies have shown that horses have problems metabolizing CBD.
